Kris Taylor brings over 22 years of expertise in construction and inspections to Legacy Home Inspection.  For most of his career, Kris worked as a primary contractor for major national retailers like ALDO, Call It Spring, Lush, West49, Once Upon a Child, and Ricki's. This experience instilled a deep understanding of building codes and construction practices.  In 2013, Kris transitioned to home inspection, leveraging his construction knowledge to excel in this field. After dedicating several years to public service as a police officer, Kris relocated to Ontario in 2018 to focus on family and continue his passion for thorough home inspections.

Kris leverages his Alberta licensing and inspection experience to deliver comprehensive, meticulous reports that meet the highest standards, even in Ontario's unregulated market.

Kris holds the Master Inspector designation, the highest available in Ontario, and has been recognized by the community for his commitment to quality, excellence, and client care.  His experience working alongside HGTV stars like Bryan Baeumler and the Property Brothers further demonstrates his expertise.  With Kris leading the inspection, you can be confident you're choosing the best.

A few weeks ago, Kris conducted a home inspection on my new construction property. I wasn't sure what to expect as I hadn't had a home inspection done in years. Upon meeting Kris, I was put at ease. While he was discussing his findings, I found that he was extremely detail oriented which was a great comfort. Very professional and personable, Kris came by to conduct a home inspection on my home before I prepared to list it for sale. He was very thorough and explained his process and what he was looking for.


Kris having a background in construction and previously having practiced in a province where home inspectors are regulated (they aren’t in Ontario) it was a great comfort knowing he was not only thorough, but knew what he was doing! Although there were a couple items found that I wish didn’t exist and I’ll need to rectify, that’s the whole point of a home inspection - finding out the dirty details and knowing what you’ve got, or are getting into. Highly recommended.

As a first time home buyer, I had so many questions about what to look for during an inspection. Kris was able to walk through the entire house with me, using different tools + technologies - and to highlight areas of interest/concern.
 
Additionally, I was extremely impressed by Kris' ongoing care for the maintenance of the house as he followed up about 6 months after the move-in to ask on the status of the house, and if there were any questions or concerns about the property.
